President and Executive Director, Philip and Muriel Berman Foundation
Nancy is the President and Executive Director of The Philip and Muriel Berman Foundation. She is also the Director Emerita of the Skirball Museum at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. In 1972 she became the Founding Curator and then Director of the Skirball Museum, originally located at Hebrew Union College near USC.
She has served and/or is serving on many local and national cultural and educational boards: The Huntington Library, Art Collections And Botanical Gardens, the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for Israel Studies at UCLA, Lehigh University, Wilshire Boulevard Temple, Artis (dedicated to exposure and support of contemporary Israeli art), Hadassah Foundation, and Chair of the Cultural committee for the visual arts of the Los Angeles-Tel Aviv Partnership. Nancy has been instrumental in funding both an Israeli artist/faculty post and an Israeli MFA student in the visual arts at UCLA inspired by the work of the Y&S Nazarian Center.
