A talk by Dr. Aileen Gatten, Center for Japanese Studies, University of Michigan

Dr. Gatten is a specialist in the field of Japanese classical literature and an Associate of the Center for Japanese Studies at the University of Michigan. She has written widely on The Tale of Genji, and is translator of Jin'ichi Konishi's History of Japanese Literature.

Presented by the Project for Premodern Japan Studies in the History Depart of the University of Southern California.
