The Social Influence of Chinese Lawyers and Its Development in the Last Three Decades
30年来中国律师之社会影响的演进与发展
Since the restoration of legal service by lawyers in the 1980s, the professional community of lawyers and law firms have undergone a rapid expansion and played an increasingly important role in rule of law, producing profound influences in Chinese economy, politics and social life.
律师制度恢复三十多年来,中国律师及律师事务所快速发展,对中国法治、经济、社会及政治产生越来越重要的影响。
Mr. Peng Xuefeng is the Chairman and Founder of Dacheng Law Offices. Mr. Peng has practiced as a registered lawyer for over 20 years, and has been mainly focusing on the practices of Dispute Resolution, Corporation, Securities & Finance, M&A and Antitrust.
For the outstanding performance in the legal service, Mr. Peng received Beijing Esteemed Lawyer in 1994 and again in 1999; in the year 1996, he was ranked in the Top Ten Lawyers in Beijing and nominated for Beijing Top Ten Youth Worthies, and was awarded the 1996 Exemplary Attorney by the Ministry of Justice. Mr. Peng was also cited as one of the 2006 Hottest Asia Lawyer by Asian Legal Business, a famous international publisher well-known for its opinions on the Asian legal pratices.
In July 2006, Mr. Peng received one of the most valuable awards for the Chinese lawyers---the Award for Eminent Contribution to the Chinese Legal Service Industry.
