Student workshop: Writing a winning application
Workshop for International Institute students applying to jobs/internships and graduate school

Are you about to apply for internships or jobs and need help with your application materials? Do you plan on going to graduate school and want to know more about how to write the statement of purpose?
If so, please join us!
This workshop will be led by Professor Claudia Hoffmann, who holds a Ph.D. from the University of Florida and is now a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow and visiting assistant professor with a split appointment in cinema and media studies and African studies. She has taught a variety of literature, film, and composition courses, among them two classes on professional writing.
Pizza will be served!
12-1 p.m: How to write a professional résumé and effective cover letter.
1-2 p.m: How to write a tailored statement of purpose for your graduate school application.
You may bring drafts of your résumé, cover letter and statement of purpose.
