This three-day workshop for World History teachers is co-sponsored by the UCLA History-Geography Project, Center for European and Eurasian Studies, G.E. von Grunebaum Center for Near Eastern Studies, and Latin American Institute. The workshop will take a historic look at popular movements starting with the ideas of the French Revolution and moving towards current world events, including the uprising in Egypt. Its focus will be on content and instructional strategies that teachers can use in their classrooms. Participants will receive curricular resources, lunch and parking at UCLA at no charge. 2.0 UCLA Extension quarter units will be available for a fee.
