UCLA Architecture and Urban Design Exposition Opening

"Rumble" features projects completed by students in conjunction with departmental faculty during 30-week research studios, special topics studios and technology seminars. The exposition includes 6,500 square feet of year-end studio and program installations that redefine the provocative opportunities confronting the next generation of architects.
Department chair Hitoshi Abe will lead a preview and announce program news about the department. Featured in the exposition are UCLA faculty members Hitoshi Abe, Thom Mayne, Neil Denari, Mark Lee, Greg Lynn, David Erdman, Craig Hodgetts, Georgina Huljich, Jason Payne, Mark Mack, Barton Myers, Ben Refuerzo, Dagmar Richter, Heather Roberge, Roger Sherman, Olivier Touraine and Kivi Sotamaa.
Initiated by department chair Hitoshi Abe and organized by vice chair Richard Weinstein and visiting assistant professor Kivi Sotamaa, the department's first all-student exhibition of studio work will utilize Perloff Hall's spaces: studios, hallways, classrooms, gallery spaces and more. During the exposition's opening night, students will be on site to discuss the ideas and aspirations behind their projects.
