Based on a short story by the Egyptian writer, Ibrahim Aslan, a father contemplates the physical changes of his adult son in this subtle meditation on aging. 

A Winter Day's Visit

A Winter Day's Visit explores a slice section of a day in the life of a modest Egyptian young man named Aly. It starts with a close up about his day-to-day issues with his family and then takes it from there to explore his friends and some of their bluffing tricks to get money out of some Arabs, his two girlfriends and the coldness among both relationships, government officers who forcibly use his car as a mean of looking around for abnormal actions in the middle of the night and finally ends with his family again, thus restarting the routine-like vicious circle.

A Cairo bathroom attendant musters up the will to approach a spirited belly dancer and learns that, in life, every non-action has a non-reaction. 

The Maid

When a housemaid's suspicions of her employer are strangely confirmed, she is forced to come to terms with her own insecurities and her place within the family household.
