Los Angeles, CA 90095
Led by young keyboardist, composer and producer Idan Raichel, this entrancing cross-cultural collective of musicians from Israel’s Ethiopian, Arab, Yemenite and Caribbean communities took Israel by storm in 2002, captivating audiences with an exciting sound that truly represented the cultural melting pot of modern Israel. An enchanting, ancient-meets-modern fusion of Ethiopian folk music, Middle Eastern mysticism, Caribbean rhythms and contemporary recording technology, their debut album became one of Israel’s biggest success stories, generating multiple number one hits and triple platinum sales. A global musical icon, The Idan Raichel Project has performed to sell-out crowds in Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Singapore and beyond. The collective returns to L.A. with its spectacular live show, following the international release of its CD in late 2006.
