Nikki R. Keddie is Professor Emerita of Middle Eastern and Iranian History at the University of California, Los Angeles, and the author of numerous books and articles, including Women in the Middle East: Past and Present (2007), Modern Iran: Roots and Results of Revolution (2006), and Iran and the Surrounding World: Interactions in Culture and Cultural Politics, ed. with Rudi Mathee (2002).

Copies of Keddie's book, "Women in the Middle East: Past and Present" will be available for sale. Refreshments will be served.
