One of the earlier Christian millenarian movements in Korea was the Empire of Mount Sion, born in the 1940s when the Japanese government was imposing the Shinto shrine worship for the purpose of creating the imperial unity. This talk surveys history, characteristics, and contemporary status of this sectarian church.
