While At UCLA

I graduated from California State University, San Bernardino this past June with a B.A. in Philosophy and a minor in History. I have moved around a lot as a child and a teenager, but for the past 10 years I have lived in a small town called Crestline, which is located in the San Bernardino Mountains. I plan to commute from my home to UCLA for the first year. I am a very creative person. Prior to taking on the history minor at CSUSB, I was a graphic design minor. I am an avid movie goer, and enjoy multiple genera of movies. I really enjoy classic movies as well, two of my favorite movies include Singing in the Rain and Breakfast at Tiffany's. Above all, I am passionate. My time in CSUSB's history department has given me a passion for studying Africa, knowing its past and understanding its future.

While at UCLA, I am hoping to be able to research mental Illness in East Africa, particularly, the area of the Great Lakes. After Decolonization much of this area has been left devastated and plagued with war. Little research has been done on the mental effects of people living in this area.

After UCLA

After graduation, I would like to work with a non-profit organization helping with overall heath in East Africa. If I am able to find a job that focusses in mental illness, that would be my ideal job.
