The deadline to apply for the Diplomacy and Diversity Fellowship, Humanity in Action's new graduate-level program in Washington, DC and Paris, is January 31, 2014.

The Diplomacy and Diversity Fellowship represents an exceptional opportunity for American and European graduate students to explore the intersection of foreign affairs and diversity. The Fellowship will explore how American and European governments and societies are responding to a wide range of international and national diversity issues. The Fellows will meet with leaders in government, business and NGOs to discuss and research topics such as the impact of the economic and environmental crises on minorities, human trafficking, Roma issues in Europe, global LGBTQ rights and women's issues.

In addition, the Council on Foreign Relations will host the Fellows for multiple sessions in Washington, DC focused on building skills, networks, and knowledge for foreign policy careers.

This advanced fellowship program will take place in Washington, DC and Paris from May 17 to June 14, 2014.  The Council on Foreign Relations will host a major portion of the program in Washington, DC.

The Diplomacy and Diversity Fellowship is a fully-funded program, including airfare and hotels. In addition, students studying at American universities will receive a scholarship of $2,000.

Students currently enrolled in graduate and advanced professional programs (master's, doctorate, MBA, JD, MD, etc.) in the United States, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland are eligible to apply. Students from minority backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
