What are my delivery options?

It is our preference that you collect the transcript, letters and materials for your application. This will save us time in the reviewal stage and ensure you that all the pieces of your application have been submitted.

What type of recommendors are allowed?
You may submit a letter of recommendation from a professor, advisor, mentor, employeer, etc.  

How do you want me to handle the letters of recommendation?
Please ask your recommenders to put their signed letter in a sealed envelope with their signature across the seal. In cases where your recommender resides outside of the country and postal service is slow, it is acceptable for your recommender to email directly and attach a scanned copy of his or her signed letter.

How and when will I be notified about the status of my application?
Our Center is a small operation and we will make every effort to review all applicants thoroughly and in a timely manner. That said, the review process can take up to 3 months. Everyone will be notified via the email he/she provides on his/her application, therefore it is important that you print your email address legibly.

How are funds applied?
If selected, we will contact your departments finance office and funds will be transfered directly to your department.

What should I write about in my personal statement?
We ask that you include the following: 1) personal background, 2) career goals, and 3) confirmation of the eligibility requirements. That said, this is also a place for you tell us about yourself; use it to include anything not already represented elsewhere in your application.
